Left wing’s tunnel vision

Do you remember when a hundred or so hapless ducks missed being gunned down by duck hunters when they chose a tailings pond for a lethal touchdown a few years ago? Tree huggers emerged into the bright lights of hundreds of willing media cameras and turned the nasty incident into “the very reason all operations in the oil sands should cease immediately.” They played the incident ad nauseam for years.

Media, politicians and political analysts were quick to weigh in on Wednesday morning, after Alberta Premier Alison Redford named her 19-member Cabinet — a reduction from 21 this time around.

Vause thanks Broncos’ fans

As I finish my hockey career as captain of the Swift Current Broncos, I want to thank the Swift Current community.

It has recently been announced by Alberta Education that the Prairie Rose School Division will sponsor an "Internet on School Bus" project. This project will be completely funded by Alberta Education of the remainder of this year and through to the end of April, 2013.
