Efforts needed to help bird populations

It was shocking to read in Canada Wildlife an article by Jay Ingram on how much bird populations have decreased, especially grassland species on the prairies.

During 2012 the substantial environmental changes introduced through Bills C-38 and C-45 have become a key focus of the criticism directed against the Harper government’s two budget omnibus bills.

One can only wonder if Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence truly expected what has played out between the federal government and First Nations leaders would have happened as a result of the media attention garnered by her fasting and subsequent Idle No More protests.
