Great Plains College administration members are excited to announce its first-ever Welding program showcase and auction - the Acklands-Grainger Carharrts and Caviar fundraiser, scheduled for Feb. 28.

Metallic art up for bids include a goalie mask, a wine rack, a coffee table, deer antlers and a fire pit commemorating the Swift Current Broncos’ 1989 Memorial Cup championship, all created by the welding class at Swift Current Campus.
“The students who graduate from the Welding program at Great Plains College are already in high demand throughout the industry and, with support like this from our community and business partners, will continue to be for years to come,” said Welding instructor Jared McKenzie.
Tickets are $25 and are available at Swift Current Campus by calling 778-5482, Pharmasave and Acklands-Grainger. All funds raised will directly support the Welding program at Great Plains College.
Special thanks to sponsors Acklands-Grainger, Honey Bee Manufacturing, REM Enterprises, Fabro Enterprises, Paradise Consulting and Southwest TV News.
