City of Swift Current dealing with backlog in residential waste removal service

The City of Swift Current thanks its residents for their patience with the recent disruption in residential waste removal.


“I want to personally thank our residents for their understanding and patience as the City works through this interruption in service,” said Mayor Jerrod Schafer.

“Our waste removal contractors are working hard to get residential waste removal back on track for our residents.”

Employee holidays and the heavy volume of waste at this time of year have added to the challenge of residential waste removal. The City’s contractors have indicated that they are working extended hours in an attempt to catch up, and that additional staff is expected soon to assist with residential waste removal.
