Major drug bust, arrest made in Swift Current

On the evening of September 12 members of the Swift Current Municipal RCMP Detachment, with the assistance of the Swift Current General Investigative Section and the Swift Current Police Dog Section, executed a Search Warrant at a residence located in the 100 block of 2nd Avenue SE in Swift Current.


As a result of the search the RCMP seized a quantity of methamphetamine, heroin, ritalin, and several other prescription pills.
Marley Cook, a 27-year-old Swift Current resident, has been arrested in connection with the Search Warrant and has been charged with three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. A court date for MCook has been set for October 29, 2012.
