40 kg of marijuana seized 16 km west of Swift Current

On May 11th at approximately 5 p.m., members of the Swift Current Regional Traffic Services Unit stopped a semi-trailer on the #1 Highway, 16 km. west of Swift Current. 

The semi-trailer was traveling eastbound from BC to Ontario. 
The semi-trailer was stopped to check documents (licence, registration, log books, etc.). 
The investigation revealed that the log books for the semi-trailer were not in regulatory compliance.  Further investigation resulted in a search of the semi-trailer which resulted in  a significant seizure of cannabis marijuana. A total of 87.5 pounds or close to 40 kg. was seized by the RCMP. 
The marijuana was packed in five large garbage bags.  
Driver and passenger were arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking and taken into custody.
Facing charges in relation to this incident are the following two adult males:
Borislav Vucinovic, 34, from Burnaby, BC.
Bojan Jajalo, 31. from Burnaby, BC.
Both have been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Both appeared in court on May 14 and have been released from custody with their next appearance scheduled for June 18th in Swift Current,  at 9:30 a.m.
Street value fluctuates greatly and is dependent on many variables but it is believed to be in the $180,000 range.
Also assisting in this investigation were members of the RCMP Integrated Drug Unit (RIDU), as well as the RCMP Integrated Proceeds of Crime Unit (IPOC), both based out of Regina, SK.
