Swift Current Municipal RCMP report busy end of July weekend

The following is a synopsis of calls for service by the Swift Current RCMP for the dates indicated:


2018-JULY-27
4:20 PM - Report of a residential burglary alarm on the 300 block of Cowie Crescent. Officers attended and determined the
alarm to be false.
5:34 PM - Report of a missing female youth who was later found and returned to her guardian.
8:27 PM - While out on patrol officers located a white Ford F350 operating without valid registration. Officers conducted a
traffic stop and the adult male driver was charged under the Traffic Safety Act.
9:30 PM - Report of an adult male driving on 2nd Avenue N.W. who is on a court ordered curfew. Officers determined the
male was allowed to be out of his residence at the time he was seen and no breach had occurred.
10:00 PM - Report of an argument between two people in the parking lot of a location on the 1300 block of North Service
Road E. Officers attended and located the subjects who were a mother and daughter having a verbal argument. The matter
was resolved without criminal charges being laid.
2018-JUL Y-28
3: 14 AM - 911 call of a possible impaired driver on Herbert Street E. in a silver sedan car with an Ontario licence plate on
it. Officers made patrols of the area but were unable to locate any vehicles matching the description provided.
9:50 AM - Report of someone stealing a cheque book belonging to a business on the 700 block of Cheadle Street W. The
suspect then forged the business owner's signature and cashed the cheque in his name. This matter is still under
investigation.
11 :03 AM - Report of a missing elderly male from a location on the 2000 block of Saskatchewan Drive. The male was later
located by police and returned to the location.
1: 14 PM - Report of a grey Ford F150 that sped through a stop sign and then did a burnout while leaving a location on the
400 block of South Service Road E. No licence plate number was able to be obtained. Officers made patrols but were not
able to locate the vehicle.
4:01 PM - Found wallet was turned into the Detachment. The owner of the wallet was contacted for pickup.
5:25 PM - Report of an assault that occurred approximately a month ago between two male youth. This matter is still under
investigation.
6:57 PM - Report of a male at an establishment on the 200 block of 1st Avenue N.E. who has warrants out for his arrest.
Officers attended and located the male who initially provided police with a false name but police were able to confirm his identity and that he did have warrants for his arrest. 23-year-old Wyatt Fuchs-Zeller was arrested on his outstanding warrants and was also charged with obstruction. Fuchs~Zeller will be appearing in Swift Current Provincial Court July 31, 2018.
7:08 PM - Report of a grey Chevrolet Camero driving on 2nd Avenue N.W. that is very loud. Officers made patrols of the
area and located the vehicle. Officers spoke with the male driver who advised he's been doing work to the car to make it
quieter. The male was asked that if he was going to open the car up a d listen to the muffler that he not do it in the
residental areas of the city.
9:43 PM - Report of a blue lnfiniti G35 doing a burnout on Gladstone Street W.
10:45 PM - Report of two intoxicated females trying to get into a residence on the 700 block of Field Drive. Officers
attended and located both females, one who was the mother of the home owner. One female was highly intoxicated,
arrested and held until sober. The other female was sent home in a taxi. No criminal charges were laid in relation to the
matter.
11: 11 PM - 911 hang up from a business on the 400 block of North Service Road E. Upon call back they could hear
someone asking why the phone wasn't dialling out and then hung up. Officers were able to determine no emergency was
taking place & 911 had been dialed by mistake.
11: 14 PM - 911 call from a female requesting assistance with getting her belongings from her ex-boyfriend's residence as
he will not let her take her stuff. While police were on route a second 911 call came in from the female who was advising
she now wanted to charge her ex-boyfriend with theft. Officers attended the location and advised the female who was
intoxicated that she return the next day to get her belongings as it is late and she'd been drinking. The female became upset
with the officers and stated she wanted her belongings now. The female was arrested and held until sober. No criminal
charges were laid in relation to the incident.
11 :39 PM - Report of fireworks going off near 7th Avenue N.E. Officers were tied up on another complaint at the time of
the call and unable to attend.
11 :54 PM - 911 call of what sounded like firecrackers going off on 7th Avenue N.E. Officers attended and made patrols of the
area but were unable to locate any firecrackers, fireworks or loud noise in the area.
2018-JULY-29
2:57 AM - Report of an alarm at a business on the 1000 block of Central Avenue N. Officers attended and determined the
alarm to be false.
3:40 AM - Report of a barking dog on the 300 block of 7th Avenue N.W. Officers attended but there was no dog outside
the residence.
5:38 AM - 911 call of an intoxicated male trying to get into a location on the 400 block of North Service Road E. Officers
attended and located the male in question who was very intoxicated. He was arrested and held until sober. No criminal
charges were laid in relation to the incident.
7:52 AM - 911 hang up from a business on the 400 block of North Service Road E. The employee of the business could
not hear the 911 operator upon call back and hung up. Officers were able to determine no emergency was taking place.
9:42 AM - Report of an alarm at a business on the 100 block of 1st Avenue N.E. Officers attended and determined the alarm
to be false.
12:36 PM - Report of a young male bothering the caller the day prior asking for a lighter. The caller had left a gift card on a
picnic table outside the residence and believes the same male took it. The caller did not wish to provide any further details and
wanted police to conduct patrols of the area. The caller was advised to contact the Detachment should the male in
question show up again and an officer could be dispatched to the area.
1 :44 PM - Report of an intrusion alarm at a location on the 900 block of George Street E. Officers attended and determined
the alarm to be false.
5:23 PM - Report of the caller's licence plate being stolen off her vehicle on the 200 block of Begg Street W. while she was
out of town. The caller did not know her plate number and the vehicle had not been registered in over a year.
5:46 PM - Report of someone slouched over in their vehicle while parked on the 1100 block of 11th Avenue N.E. Officers
attended but were not able to locate the vehicle. Officers contacted the complainant who advised the vehicle left prior to
officer arrival.
6:02 PM - Report of a hit-and-run that occurred on the 200 block of Pelletier Drive. There were no witnesses and there are no
suspects at this time.
11 :44 PM - Report of loud music coming from the parking lot of a location on the 2000 block of Chaplin Street E. Officers
attended and located some males playing guitar. They were advised to find a better location to play music.
