The City of Swift Current is currently engaged in multi-step processes to establish the future land use of the former Ashley Park and Oman school sites.

After meeting with the owners of properties directly adjacent to these sites for initial feedback, we would like to invite all of our residents to participate in an open house on August 14 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Innovation Credit Union i-plex that will help determine the future of both sites.

“It was important to engage with the property owners directly adjacent to these sites initially, as their property values will be impacted the most by this project,” said Michael Ruus, General Manager of Planning & Growth Development for the City of Swift Current. “Now that the project consultant has analyzed all the initial feedback, we’ve balanced all this information into a draft plan. We’re very excited to receive feedback from all of our citizens on this most recent update.”

Following the open house, information collected will be consolidated and used to finalize plans for the sites. Additionally, surveys will be available on the City’s website for those who are not able to make it to the event.
