Swift Current RCMP deal with gamut of calls June 22-24

The following is a synopsis of calls for service for the dates indicated by the Swift Current RCMP:


2018-JUNE-22
8:46 PM - report of a found bicycle. The owner of the bicycle was contacted & picked it up.
11: 15 PM - report of two males attempting to break into vehicles in the alley of 1st Avenue N.W. Officers located one male youth & determined he did not have any stolen property on him. He was given a verbal warning about his actions.
11 :20 PM - report of commercial alarm at a business on the 400 block of North Service Road W. Officers attended & determined the alarm to be false.
2018-JUNE-23
4:18 AM - report of an adult male that showed up at a location on the 2200 block of Woodrow Lloyd Place mentioning committing suicide. Officers attended that location & transported the male to the hospital.
4:39 AM - 911 call of an impaired driver in a brown Buick Riviera traveling on Central Avenue N. The caller had seen the driver intoxicated in an establishment prior to the call. Officers made patrols but were not able to locate the vehicle.
6: 18 AM -911 call of a possibly intoxicated male bus driver who appeared very sleepy while traveling into the City. Officers attended the location of the bus driver & determined he was not impaired but was very tired.
9: 15 AM - report of a male walking stopping traffic asking for money on the 300 block of 2nd Avenue S. E. Officers attended the location but the male was gone prior to their arrival.
10:21 AM - report of a burglary alarm at a location on the 300 block of 2nd Avenue S.E. The alarm was cancelled prior to police attendance.
11 :00 AM - report of two female youth being followed by an adult male in a white van. The male tried to speak to the females & when they ran away he still followed them. Officers attended & spoke with the male who advised he was lost & was trying to get directions to the library as he did not carry a cell phone.
8:38 PM - report of youth drinking alcohol in the parking lot of a location on the 2000 block of Chaplin Street E. Officers attended & located the youths who were playing hacky sack. No alcohol was being consumed.
9: 10 PM - report of vehicles stunting on the 200 block of Alpine Crescent, it has been an on-going issue. Officers attended the location later in the evening & did not locate any suspicious vehicles in the area.
8: 14 AM - report of a female with long hair in pony tail sitting in the middle of the street cross legged & barefoot on the 300 block of Sidney Street W. While officers were en route to Sidney Street they received a second call that she had gotten up & was now walking north. Officers patrolled the area but were unable to locate the female.
1 :45 PM - report of a red Ford F350 being vandalized on the driver's door while parked on the 1200 block of North Railway Street E. No suspects or witnesses. Vehicle owner was advised to contact his insurance provider to make a claim for the damages.
3:26 PM - report of text messages being received by an unknown person. The caller believes that it is a prank by a former friend. This matter is still under investigation.
4: 16 PM - 911 hang-up from a payphone on the 1800 block of 22nd Avenue N. E. Officers determined there was no emergency.
5: 16 PM -911 call of a capsized boat & two people in the water at the dam on 18th Avenue S.E. Officers attended & determined no boat had capsized, it was a kayaker who had decided to take a swim.
5:57 PM - report of a possible domestic assault occurring on the 300 block of 7th Avenue S.E. The caller could hear yelling, slapping & what sounded like crying. Officers attended the location & spoke to the home owner who had gotten into an argument over the telephone & was upset.
7:05 PM - report of a blue Chrysler 300 driving dangerously on 1st Avenue N.W. No plate number was able to be obtained. Officers made patrols of the area but could not locate any vehicles matching the description provided.
7:21 PM -911 call from a female advising she'd just received a phone call from a boy who advised he'd called the wrong number. Officers determined there was no emergency & spoke to the woman & advised that sometimes wrong numbers are dialed.
8:20 PM - report of an adult male driving around on a motorbike that does not have a licence plate & he is not wearing a helmet & making a lot of noise on 1100 block of North Hill Drive. Officers attended the location & made patrols but could not locate anyone matching that description.
8:30 PM - report of a motion alarm at a location on the 1100 block of Central Avenue N. Officers attended the location & everything was secure. The keyholder also attended & determined that the on-call plumber had set the alarm off by mistake.
9: 19 PM - report from a male advising that an ex-girlfriend yelled a profanity at him today in the parking lot of a location on
6th Avenue S.E. The male caller wanted police to be aware in the event the female attended the office to report it as a breach as the male is not to have contact with the female as per a court order.
9:44 PM - report of a possible fraudulent transaction made on a credit card. This matter is still under investigation.
10:53 PM - report of a theft of a mannequin from the yard of a residence on the 900 block of Dahl Street E.
10:53 PM - report of medical emergency on the 400 block of 7th Avenue N.E. An adult male was being taken out of the residence by EMS upon police arrival & was transported to the hospital.
