Swift Current RCMP calls for service June 1-3

The following is a synopsis of calls for service by the Swift Current RCMP for the dates indicated:


2018-JUNE-1
4:45 PM - report of a hit & run to a grey Honda HR-V in the parking lot of a business on the 700 block of Central Avenue N. A witness advised it was a Ford that hit the vehicle. No other information was obtained and there are no suspects at this time.
4:55 PM -911 call from a female wanting an adult male removed from her residence on the 500 block of 2nd Avenue N.E. The male left the residence prior to officers attending and were no longer required.
5:05 PM - 911 hang up call from a location on the 2200 block Woodrow Lloyd Place. Officers determined 911 had been dialed by mistake and there was no emergency.
5:23 PM - report of a commercial intrusion alarm at a business on the 1000 block of Central Avenue N. Officers attended and determined the alarm to be false.
5:52 PM - 911 call from a female wanting an adult male removed from her residence on the 500 block of 2nd Avenue N.E. Officers attended and the unwanted male found another place to stay for the night. The matter was resolved without criminal charges.
6: 11 PM - report of a commercial alarm coming at a location on the 500 block of Patterson Drive. Officers attended and determined the alarm to be false.
8:42 PM - report of a two vehicle collision on 2nd Avenue S.E. A green Chrysler 300 backed into the caller's black GMC
Terrain. The caller believes the owner of the Chrysler is passed out in his residence and is refusing to answer the door.  Officers attended the location and located both vehicles with the Chrysler backed into and touching the Terrain and officers were unable to get the owner of the Chrysler to come to the door of his residence. Upon moving the vehicles no damage had occured. No criminal charges were laid in relation to the matter.
2018-JUNE-2
1 :56 AM - report of a panic alarm at a business on the 1700 block of North Service Road E. Officers attendedand determined the alarm to be false.
2:38 AM -while out on patrols officers conducted a traffic stop on a silver Pontiac Grand Am on the 2600 block of North Service Road W. The adult male driver of the vehicle produced a learner driver's licence and did not have a supervisor in the vehicle with him. The male was charged under the Traffic Safety Act.
5:32 AM -911 call of an assault. The male caller stated that approximately thirty minutes ago he was beaten up on the street of 6th Avenue N. E. by appoximately five people who had gotten out of a red truck and andthen stole his cellphone . Officers attended to the caller's location and spoke with him. The male caller was intoxicated and the details he provided contain inconsistencies. This matter is still under investigation.
12:22 PM - report of graffiti that had been spray painted on the play structure at a park on 4th Avenue N.E. No one was in the area and there were no paint cans or other evidence seen or located. The caller was advised to contact The City of Swift Current to have the spray paint cleaned off the play structure.
1:55 PM - report of an adult male and female together and the male is believed to be on no contact conditions with the female. Officers confirmed the male was allowed to have contact with the female, no criminal offence was being committed.
4 PM - report of loud music at a residence on the 100 block of Lorne Street E. Officers attended the residence but there was no music playing when they attended. The caller was advised to contact The City of Swift Current & speak to the Bylaw department about the on-going issues with the music.
6:50 PM - report of somebody "ripping" around on a dirt bike in the parking lot of a location on the 1200 block of Riverdene Park Drive. Officers attended and located a male youth driving the dirt bike in the parking lot and on the sidewalk. The male youth was charged under the Traffic Safety Act.
7:20 PM - report of an elderly female missing from her residence on the 1100 block 2nd Avenue S.E. The missing female was last seen at approximately noon today. While officers were on the phone with the caller the elderly female returned to her residence and stated she had just been out for a walk.
10:56 PM - report of a male youth breaching the conditions of his undertaking by having contact with a female youth he's not supposed to, drinking alcohol & using illegal substances. Officers attended the male youth's residence and he answered the door. The male was found to be compliant with all his conditions.

12:01 AM -911 call of two male youths fighting on the street on Chaplin Street E. Officers attended the location and could not locate anyone in the area. Officers attended the residence of the youth from a few hours earlier as it was reported that the same male youth was involved in the fight & spoke with him. He denied any involvement in the fight. Officers also
attended & spoke to the other male youth who was said to be involved and he denied being involved in a fight on the street.
12:39 AM -911 call of a large party taking place in the backyard of a residence on the 400 block of Battleford Trail. It was reported that there was a fire and lots of people in the yardand it appeared to be a graduation party. Officers attended and shut down the party. One intoxicated male youth became beligerent towards officers. He was arrested and held in cells. He was released once sober without criminal charges.
2:28 AM - 911 call to a location on the 200 block of Central Avenue N. where it was reported that it appears that 20-25 guys may start a fight on the street. All involved parties left the location prior to officers arrival whoever police stayed at the location until all patrons had left the area to ensure nothing further happened.
2:54 AM -911 call of a stolen truck. The male caller advised that a female took his keys and said she was taking the truck for a bit, but hasn't returned. The truck was returned to the owner the following morning.
3:22 AM -911 call of a possible impaired driver in a grey Toyota Corolla on the 1400 block of North Service Road E. travelling westbound. Officers made patrols of the area but could not locate the vehicle.
10: 12 AM - report of a hit and run to a grey Honda Pilot while parked at a location on the 2000 block of Chaplin Street E. No suspects or witnesses. The vehicle owner later contacted the Detachment & advised that he found the damage to his vehicle was caused by a friend & they will be settling the matter between themselves.
12:30 PM -found wallet had been turned into the Detachment after being found at a location on the O block 4th Avenue N.E. Owner of the wallet was contacted and later attended to pick it up.
2:06 PM -911 call of an intoxicated adult male stumbling & falling on the 500 block of 6th Avenue N.E. When asked if he needs help he just stares. Officers attended the location and found the male who was believed to be under the influence of illicit drugs as his behaviour did not reflect someone who'd been drinking alcohol. The male was held in cells & was released when he was sober without criminal charges .
2:46 PM - report of loud music from a residence on the 1300 block of Jubilee Drive. The caller was advised to contact the City of Swift Current & speak to the Bylaw department if issues with loud music continued. Officers patrolled the area but did not hear any loud music.
4:02 PM -report of a family dispute where a mother threatened to push her adult son if his attitude didn't change. This matter is still under investigation.
5:28 PM -report of a crooked stop sign on 2nd Avenue S.E. Officers attended to the location & there was no concern with the positioning of the stop sign.
8:01 PM - report of a possible impaired driver in a black Chevrolet Tahoe that's travelling into the City on the #1 Highway. Officers made patrols but were unable to locate the vehicle.
