A report of the calls from the Swift Current RCMP Jan. 19-21

The following is a synopsis of calls for service for the Swift Current RCMP for the dates indicated:


2018-JAN-19
5:39 PM - report of a male in the street holding up traffic. Male was gone & traffic flowing normally upon police arrival.
6:28 PM - report of a Ford Fusion swerving & not having lights on. Patrols made but vehicle was not able to be located.
11 :08 PM -report of hit & run at the intersection of Central Ave. N. & George St. where a Pontiac Sunfire hit a light
standard knocking it over & driving away from the scene. Vehicle driver was located & charged with Impaired Operation
under the Criminal Code.
2018-JAN-20
12:22 AM -911 misdial. Officers followed up with the call & determined there was no emergency.
12:36 AM -report of mischief on the 1000 block of Lorne St. E. Officers attended & resolved the matter without any
criminal charges.
11 :28 AM -911 call from the hospital. Officers attended & resolved the matter without any criminal charges.
11 :42 AM - report of hold-up alarm at a business on 1100 block of 6th Ave. N. E. Officers attended & determined the
alarm to be false.
12:00 PM - report of semi parked on the shoulder of South Service Rd. E. Driver was charged under the Traffic Safety
Act. I
12:39 PM - report of semi parked on the should of #1 Highway. Driver was charged under the Traffic Safety Act.
4:46 PM - report of a disturbance on the 1600 block of Winnie St. E. Officers attended & determined two youth siblings
were arguing. Matter resolved without any criminal charges.
5:56 PM - report of an assault on the 1000 block of Lorne St. E. This matter is still under investigation.
2018-JAN-21
12: 16 AM - report of a vandalized vehicle on the 200 block of Central Ave. N.
9:15 AM -report of suspicious female hanging around a hotel on the South Service Rd. E. Officers patrolled the area but
were unable to locate anyone matching the female's description, nothing criminal took place.
12:39 PM - report of Child Welfare Act. This matter is still under investigation.
2:56 PM - report of a collision on the 500 block of 3rd Ave. N.E. where a vehicle ran into a fence. This matter is still under
investigation.

3: 18 PM - report of a 2 vehicle collision on North Service Rd. E. One driver was charged under the Traffic Safety Act.
7:43 PM - report of a disturbance on the 400 block of 2 Ave S.W. Officers attended & matter was resolved without any
criminal charges.
11 :23 PM - report of missing female from a motel on South Service Rd. E. Female was located the morning of January 22
& taken to hospital. This matter is still under investigation.
