The City of Swift Current wishes to advise residents that, beginning today Wednesday October 18, 2017, for one week ending Wednesday, October 25, 2017, all tree branch and storm debris related to yesterday’s wind storm will be eligible for free disposal at the City landfill. The landfill is open from Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“This is just one way we can support community clean-up after such a terrible storm,” explains Mitch Minken, Swift Current’s General Manager of Infrastructure & Operations. “We extend our thoughts to those whose homes and businesses have sustained damages.”

Residents are urged to take storm debris to the landfill, not to the community yard waste bins, as there will not be enough space in those bins to accommodate the volume.

The City would like to thank residents in advance for their patience and cooperation.
