Randy and Sheila Hildebrandt recently presented the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation with a cheque for $12,500, in memory of Randy’s father, Jacob R. (Jake) Hildebrandt.

Jake was fortunate enough to receive all but a few of his dialysis treatments at the Cypress Regional Hospital for over three years.
After Jake passed away, the Hildebrandt’s wanted to help others who depend on Renal Dialysis by funding the purchase of three new chairs for the unit.
“We took notice of not only how the dialysis nurses cared for Jake while he was having his treatments, but also that they came to visit him in the Meadows even after he wasn’t well enough to have treatments any longer,”stated the Hildebrandts. “We knew then, that we wanted to give something back to the Renal Dialysis unit that has and will continue to help so many people.”
The nurses who work in Renal Dialysis were grateful. The general consensus can be summed up by “the new chairs were a great improvement in comfort for those receiving Renal Dialysis. On average, these patients are sitting here, three days a week, for three to four hours at a time. Making them more comfortable is one of the simplest and most effective things that can be done which makes a big difference.”
The Dr. Noble Irwin Foundation were thankful to Randy and Sheila Hildebrandt for their generosity.
