Pancake breakfast kicking off Frontier Days

There’s no better way to kick off the Frontier Days Rodeo and Exhibition four day celebration.

 

The Swift Current Frontier Days Kick-Off Pancake Breakfast is on Wednesday, June 28,  from 7:30-9:30 a,m.  Official opening ceremonies are at 8 a.m. Come on down to the Market Square City Plaza for a $3 pancake breakfast which includes pancakes, sausages, milk, coffee and juice. Visit with neighbors, family and friends while enjoying the traditional cowboy breakfast and the live radio coverage from Golden West Radio.

 At 8 a.m. Parade Marshall and rodeo pick-up man Wade Rempel will be there for the ceremonial Burning of the Frontier Days Brand. The Mayor of Swift Current is His Worship, Mayor Denis Perrault, City Council members and Ag & Ex Board of Directors will be in attendance. Frontier Days Ambassador Brooklynn Becker will also be on hand, along with winners of the children’s Frontier Days Coloring contest.

 All proceeds from the breakfast are donated to Canadian Mental Health Association and the Dress In Jeans donations will benefit the SPCA in Swift Current.

Relive the magic of the old west – get out the Western gear and take in a Cowboy Pancake Breakfast.

The 79th annual Frontier Days Fair and Rodeo continues to host rodeo’s top competitors on June 28, 29, 30, July 1, 2017 at the Jerry Myers Arena, Swift Current Kinetic Exhibition Park.  Frontier Days is one of the largest events in Southwest Saskatchewan.  4-H Livestock Shows, the West Coast Midway, Parades, Lighthorse, Ranch Horse and Heavy Horse events, commercial exhibits, grandstand entertainment, family fun zone, Doc’s Town Heritage Village, fireworks and more.
