United Way launches year-round Day of Caring

United Way strives to meet our community needs through various programs, including the Day of Caring ® – a week-long initiative that is focused around working as a community to meet the needs of local non-profit organizations. Thanks to the success of this initiative over the past five years, United Way will be hosting Day of Caring ® year-round.

A passionate group of volunteers in Swift Current are extending a helping hand to a rural community in Africa who are hoping to build a school for their children.

There has been an increase in the number of charges laid by the Swift Current RCMP during the first five months of the year over the past three years.

The provincial government is spending $4.7M on highway improvements in the Swift Current constituency.

The past year was a very significant one for the Southwest Youth Emergency Shelter (YES), but the non-profit organization is also facing significant challenges to fund the operation of Dorie’s House.
