Ouch. The resolve in the Swift Current Broncos is more than admirable, but in the end a loss is still a loss, albeit one in overtime on a ahem, fortunate goal for the Calgary Hitmen.

Following a two week nomination process, an independent panel of judges selected forty winners from hundreds of nominees as the top leaders, builders, or change-makers under the age of forty who are making a significant difference in their field to help shape the future of the Saskatchewan. 

A group of Grade 9 to 12 students from Swift Current are preparing to participate in the first ever regional robotics competition in western Canada, where teams will be challenging each other with frisbee-shooting robots.

Ironically, Swift Current photographer Craig Hilts was dreaming of a warm place south of the border last Thursday and it wasn’t for his upcoming vacation either.

With the City of Swift Current striving to continually improve quality of life for residents, the newly-approved 2013 municipal budget will include a tax increase for residents, but as Mayor Jerrod Schafer noted, Swift Current remains the most affordable city in the province.

Swift Current's City Wide Registration went well

Residents of Swift Current flocked to the Credit Union  iplex on March 6 -7 for the 18th annual City-Wide Registration, an opportunity for them to learn more about the various culture, sport, and recreation activities that Swift Current has to offer.

Local skaters in the Swift Current Skating Club recently showed off their skills at the annual Jean Norman provincial figure skating competition, and soon will showcase their talents for the rest of the community, as well.

The Prairie Athletic Conference’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will venture to southwest Saskatchewan to decide who are the kings and queens of Saskatchewan college hoops.
