There are more potholes on Swift Current streets this winter than in recent years and the City’s public works crews are already out patching them.

With spring just around the corner the City of Swift Current Recreation & Parks Department has been busy planning the 18th Annual Spring/Summer City Wide Registration nights.

Swift Current area residents had an opportunity to learn more about Idle No More from one of the movement’s co-founders during a teach-in gathering at the Great Plains College Feb. 15.

The R.M. of Swift Current has had the opportunity to discuss the recent decision of the Municipal Boundary Committee of the Saskatchewan Municipal Board regarding the application from the City of Swift Current to annex the commercial strip on the west end of the City to Lac Pelletier Trail.

Winter Carnival should be fun Feb. 20

Families in Swift Current can enjoy the beautiful weather and take part in some exciting outdoor activities during a Winter Carnival at Riverdene Park on Feb. 20, put on by the Southwest's Parent Support Network.

After four months of construction activities the main entrance at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current is again open to the public.

This year’s Annual Living Sky Casino Pow Wow promises a fantastic lineup of entertainment and proud display of native culture including drum groups and dancers of all ages and styles.

Students at École Oman School in Swift Current celebrated their bilingualism during French Second Language Education Week, with activities and games to help them use their second language more often, and learn a bit more about French culture.
