Pat Friesen a candidate for Swift Current Council

Pat Friesen is seeking a seat on Swift Current City Council in the upcoming civic election.  

Friesen, who recently retired from her position of Executive Vice President of Marketing at Innovation Credit Union, says that she is looking forward to the possibility of becoming a City Councilor.

Ostrander running for Swift Current City Council

Nomination forms were filed this morning at City Hall entering Keleah Ostrander into the running for City Council election.  Ostrander currently works as the Director of Planning at Great Plains College and has a passion for contributing to the effort in building a healthy and inclusive community.

Board members are needed for the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Separate School Division No. 22, Subdivision 1 and Subdivision 2.

Major drug bust, arrest made in Swift Current

On the evening of September 12 members of the Swift Current Municipal RCMP Detachment, with the assistance of the Swift Current General Investigative Section and the Swift Current Police Dog Section, executed a Search Warrant at a residence located in the 100 block of 2nd Avenue SE in Swift Current.

Great Plains College offers unique scholarship program

Great Plains College is excited to announce the launch of its innovative new Entrance Scholarship program – the first of its kind at any post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan.

The emergency vehicles arrived with blaring sirens and in a cloud of dust at the Swift Current Airport in response to a call about a two-plane collision.

The results of a partnership between all three levels of government to provide in the housing needs of low-income seniors were celebrated during a ribbon cutting in Swift Current on Sept. 7.
