Schafer to moderate at SUMA convention

Swift Current Mayor Jerrod Schafer was recently asked to moderate a session at the 2014 Annual Saskatchewan Urban Municipality Association’s (SUMA) convention to be held in Regina.

The start of the New Year will bring an electrical rate increase for Swift Current residents and businesses.

A coalition of community agencies in southwest Saskatchewan has developed a charter to identify the rights of children during their early years.

British fundraising adventurer Jamie McDonald arrived in Swift Current Nov. 24 on his current mission to cross Canada from east to west by running without any support team.

The Living Sky Casino would like to announce that General Manager Lionel Tootoosis has been appointed as the new Senior Vice President of Operations with SIGA. Lionel’s final day on the job as Living Sky General Manager will be January 5, after which he will leave to assume his new position at SIGA’s head office in Saskatoon.

Local Swift Current youth in need of safe, secure housing will now benefit from a new home, thanks to financial support from both Provincial and Federal levels of Government, as well as private donors.
