The Swift Current region’s long history of involvement with Canadian military efforts is remembered in a new video that was officially released shortly before Remembrance Day.

Enjoying the Grey Cup final on Nov. 24 will feel even better at the End Zone Party in Swift Current to raise funds to put an end to Type 1 diabetes and juvenile arthritis.

The Redneck Betties are already a popular attraction on the roller derby track and in the near future the team is also set to become stars on the big screen.

The Registered Music Teachers of Swift Current are celebrating Canada Music Week by hosting several events throughout the city. Canada Music Week runs from Nov. 17-23, and is a national celebration of Canadian music, composition, and performance.

It was announced recently that P3A Architecture was the recipient of the 2013 Award of Excellence in the Premier’s Awards of Excellence in Design-Interior Design Category.

A rally showing opposition to pipelines, reckless tar sands expansion, and runaway climate change. Swift Current will be one of over 60 local rallies.

Southwest Saskatchewan is now home to many newcomers. However, when disasters, calamities and devastation hit their home countries, newcomers are also deeply affected and try to help out in whatever way they can. 

Swift Current’s community events would not be the well-run successes they are today without the vision, dedication and hard work of its volunteers.

The committed volunteers of the Friends of the Walkway in Swift Current have been recognized with a provincial award.
