The Swift Current Rural RCMP wishes to thank everyone who contributed in locating the 82 year old male motorist who was reported missing from the Swift Current area on July 11th. 

The 4th annual Culture Days event for this year will take place on Sept 27-29.

A group of residents is helping to keep the Swift Current RCMP informed of community concerns about crime and safety issues.

The Lyric Theatre’s Chautauqua Theatre Festival kicked off on Thursday this week, bringing six unique one-act plays to theatre lovers in the southwest. With many return performers and new acts as well, this year’s lineup offers something for everyone.

Crowds at Frontier Days 2013 increase over 2012

With this year’s Frontier Days celebrating the event’s 75th anniversary in Swift Current, more than 27,000 people came through the gates to check out what the celebration had to offer. Perfect weather and four nights of entertainment helped make June 27-30 an exciting weekend for people all across the southwest.

Councillors approved the annual contract for asphalt and concrete improvements to Swift Current streets and sidewalks at a regular council meeting July 8, but also expressed concern the current budget is not enough to keep up with repair work.

Swift Current Frontier Days was a success according to organizers due to everyone who came out to participate and those who volunteered their time. In a press release/open letter, the Swift Current Ag & Ex board expressed gratitude:
