Five people taken to hospital after a collision involving RCMP officer

An RCMP officer along with four others were transported to hospital after a collision between two vehicles.


On Jan. 12 at approximately 7:35 p.m. a member of the Leader RCMP Detachment was involved in a collision with a truck while conducting patrols in a marked RCMP vehicle along Highway #21 north of Leader.

The four occupants of the truck – two adult males and two adult females and the RCMP officer were transported to hospital in Leader and Kindersley by EMS with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.

Kindersley and Leader ambulance along with Eatonia and Leader Fire departments assisted with the scene.  The scene and all circumstances of the collision are currently being investigated by RCMP Collision Reconstruction out of Swift Current.
