RCMP recover body of a man drowned at Lake Diefenbaker

Rescue teams have found the body of a man who had been missing since July 30 at Lake Diefenbaker.


On August 6, at approximately 5 p.m. a missing adult male was located deceased by RCMP members, family and searchers at Lake Diefenbaker near the area where he was last seen. He will not be identified.
Outlook RCMP Members were called July 30 on-scene at Lake Diefenbaker located approximately 40 kms south east of Outlook, to search for a missing adult male.
The male had been operating a boat on the lake on Saturday July 28, when he ended up in the water and in distress. One other passenger on the water-craft, an adult female, unsuccessfully attempted a rescue. She was uninjured.
The RCMP continue to search with assistance from Saskatchewan Environment and Resource Management, Outlook Fire and Rescue. The RCMP's Underwater Recovery Team (URT) is also being utilized.
Outlook RCMP would like to thank the numerous searchers and members of the public for their assistance.
