Drug seizures in Swift Current also net weapons

There was a major drug seizure in Swift Current last week.

 

On June 27, the Swift Current Municipal RCMP, assisted by the Swift Current RCMP Police Dog Service, executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence located at 225 5th Avenue N.E. in Swift Current which resulted in the seizure of cocaine, marijuana, a 7.62 calibre SKS rifle, a sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun, ammunition, a can of bear spray and an undisclosed amount of cash. Street value of the drugs seized is approximately $1,000.
Randall Allan Alexander Fehr, 25, was arrested outside of the residence and is charged with the following offences of which he made his first appearance in Swift Current Provincial Court June 28:
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine;
• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (two counts);
• Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Knowing Possession Unauthorized;
• Unsafe Storage of Firearms;
• Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (two counts)
On the afternoon of June 28 a second suspect, Alfred Crick, 21, was arrested at the same residence. An additional 30 grams of methamphetamine was seized following the arrest of Crick. The street value of the methamphetamine seized is approximately $3,000. 
Crick made his first appearance in Swift Current Provincial court June 29 and is charged with the following offences:
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine;
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine.
• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (two counts);
• Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Knowing Possession Unauthorized;
• Unsafe Storage of Firearms;
• Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (two counts)
