The Government of Saskatchewan is proclaiming May 7 to 13 as Aquatic Invasive Species Awareness Week to highlight prevention and make people aware of the risk to the province.

Health Minister Jim Reiter and Rural and Remote Health Minister Greg Ottenbreit announced May 8 the head office for the new provincial health authority will be located in Saskatoon.

A one-year pilot project by the Town of Maple Creek in association with the Cypress Hills Destination Area Inc. will keep the Trans-Canada Visitor Reception Centre open for highway travellers.
