Approximately 7,000 southwest Saskatchewan residents suffered from bad luck and no power when they woke up Friday, May 13.

Charges laid in marijuana case in Swift Current

On Aug. 9 at approximately 7 p.m. members of the Swift Current GIS unit initiated a search at the 100 block of 6th Avenue SE in the community of Swift Current.  Assisting units in relation to this search included the Swift Current City Detachment, Swift Current Rural,  Swift Current PDS and Swift Current Forensic Identification Section (FIS).  Seized during the search was approximately 2 1/2 pounds of marihuana and approximately $10,000 dollars in cash.

Cypress Hills – Grasslands MP David Anderson certainly has many highlights to reflect on for 2011.


In May he was re-elected for the fifth time since 2000 to represent this federal riding in the Canadian House of Commons with almost 70 per cent of the vote.
