SaskEnergy declares a $29 million dividend

In 2016-17, SaskEnergy recorded income before unrealized market value adjustments of $70 million, compared to $86 million for the 12-month period ending March 31, 2016.  The corporation declared a dividend of $29 million to Crown Investments Corporation (CIC), based on 2016-17 income before unrealized market value adjustments.  Announcement was made July 17.

Swift Current-area R.M.'s issue fire ban

R.M.’s of Swift Current #137, Lac Pelletier #107, Riverside #168, Coulee #136, Whiska Creek #106, Webb #138, Excelsior #166, as well as the Lac Pelletier Regional Park have issued a fire ban effective immediately.

Vanguard School Principal Greg Shwaga is spending his summer on the road to raise awareness and funds for the Huntington Society of Canada.

The Saskatchewan Centre for Cyclotron Sciences (Cyclotron), which produces radioisotopes, has reduced wait times to one week for patients in the province requiring PET-CT scans.  This information was announced by Premier Brad Wall today at an event at the Cyclotron in Saskatoon.
