Why should you think about planned giving?

For most of us, we have charitable groups or causes that we give to. Often it is an impulse gift based on an event, or an emerging need, in spite of the fact we as donors understand the ongoing need these groups face.

On Dec. 12 the Rotary Club of Swift Current, District 5360 presented a $3,000 cheque to the Swift Current Comprehensive High School Music Department in support of their annual Rotary Jazz Band retreat in the Cypress Hills.

Efforts for Swift Current food bank appreciated

The ongoing support of Hutterite colonies in southwest Saskatchewan for the food bank in Swift Current is making a difference to people in need throughout the year.

Support from local producers helped South West Terminal (SWT) to make a record donation of $53,436.60 to the Swift Current Salvation Army in support of the local food bank.

Swift Current Elks Lodge No. 8 is handing in its charter after serving the community of Swift Current and area for more than 95 years.
