Swift Current CMHA meal program gets help

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Swift Current branch has received a donation of $3,500 from the Living Sky Casino in support of the local meal program.

The Ford Drive 4UR Community program is once again supporting a local community charity on Saturday, April 29th when Cypress Motors partners with the Swift Current SPCA.

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #56 Swift Current held a parade and ceremony on April 9 to commemorate the Battle of Vimy Ridge, which took place 100 years ago in Europe during the First World War.

The Swift Current SPCA will be running a new fundraiser on Friday April 21, as “Cinema SPCA” makes its debut. The family-friendly evening is built around a pizza/pasta buffet from Boston Pizza and a movie about a dog’s loyalty called “Hachi: A Dog’s Tale”.

A Swift Current teenager has started a home-based business to express her creativity while she continues her battle against a rare medical condition.

The Swift Current SPCA Bookstore plays an important role in the fundraising efforts for the animal shelter, but without the support of volunteers it will be impossible to keep the store open.
