Alberta Health Services (AHS) has lifted the contamination advisory for Milk River at Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park. Weekly water testing has confirmed that all bacterial levels are now well below maximum acceptable guidelines, meaning water is again safe for swimming and wading.

Alberta Health Services will continue to sample this water as part of routine monitoring practices.

Signage posted around the park has also been removed.

Alberta Health Services is the provincial health authority responsible for planning and delivering health supports and services for more than 3.7 million adults and children living in Alberta. Its mission is to provide a patient-focused, quality health system that is accessible and sustainable for all Albertans.
