Milk River medical practice remains open

Effective Thursday, May 19, Dr. Elisabeth Lewke-Bogle will assume Dr. Husameddin Alshgagi’s medical practice in Milk River.

Cardston physician Dr. Daniel Bester will provide additional support with coverage in the clinic and the Milk River Health Centre Emergency Department.

Earlier this year Dr. Alshgagi announced the closure of his medical practice.

Emergency Medical Services, including a paramedic, is in place at the Milk River Health Centre to provide critical care coverage, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Additional locum (temporary) physician coverage will further support the Emergency Department.

 

In an emergency, residents should call 911 or may also visit the Emergency Departments at the Raymond Health Centre or Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.
