Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede announces July's Night Show line-up

The Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede released details of its Night Show line-up for this years Stampede July 25-28.

Night show leads off with Wild West Wednesday with Alberta artists High Valley and Corb Lund at 8 p.m., Thursday is Country Music success Tanya Tucker at 9 p.m. and Saturday is American pop-rock band Huey Lewis and the News at 9 p.m. Night show packages go sale Feb. 8 at 10 a.m.
Annual Exhibition & Stampede
The 131st Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede July 25-28. The unique and traditional blend of Pro-rodeo action, agricultural and art displays, delicious food, our annual tradeshow, free entertainment, fierce competition and plenty of fun for the whole family all capped off with jaw-dropping fireworks.
Our theme and poster for 2018 is “The Place to Be.” Simply put the Exhibition touts itself as a large physical presence inviting many people to its Stampede grounds throughout the year.
"We want to embrace our visitors from many places by featuring faces and crowds in our posters. We have been a gathering place for many people and their friends and family for years and look forward to continuing to be the place to be for all," read their official statement.
The Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede also announced the dates for the 2018 Broncs & Honky Tonks Spring Indoor Rodeo and Tradeshow, the World Professional Chuckwagon Races, the Night Show line up, our Annual Exhibition & Stampede and Farmers’ Markets.
Farmers’ Markets: Make it, bake it, grow it sell it…sound familiar? They’re back!!  Celebrating our 21st season, the Medicine Hat Farmers’ Market opens May 19 and runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Oct 6.
Broncs & Honky Tonks Indoor Spring Rodeo : The Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede has many volunteers who gather to support our events including many sponsors to make our annual Spring Rodeo a success. We are pleased to have Kesler Rodeo Stock back bringing some of the best in the rodeo world.
The crowd favourite Mutton Bustin’ takes place Sunday April 8 – forms will be available on the Stampede website February 6th, the deadline to enter is April 3.
Princess for a Day: This is a competition open to girls age 8 to 12 in which they win a day to spend with the Queen – Lacey Palichuk and the Princess – Ava Padfield, forms will be available on our website February 6th and through our district schools, deadline to enter is March 27.
The rodeo and tradeshow takes place at the Cypress Centre April 6-8, with a dance on Friday and Saturday. Tickets also go on sale Feb. 8.
Chuckwagons: The Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede is proud to host the World Professional Chuckwagon races. Chucks have a long, colourful history and heritage. One of the first western heritage sports, the 1/2 Mile of Hell features powerful equines and engaging races, it’s a show you won’t want to miss. The action takes place June 14-17.
