All too often Medicine Hat Interpretive Program’s Park Interpreter, Lisa Bey, hears adults say ”I haven’t been down to Police Point Park since I was a kid” or “I haven’t been there since my kids were young”.  Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is managed by Grasslands Naturalists.

Being active outdoors isn’t just for kids. It is important for the physical and mental well being of adults too. So let’s avoid ‘premature hibernation’.
Be part of the Canada-wide Participaction 150 movement. Spend a day down at Police Point for some “Fall Fitness in the Park”.
There will be an obstacle course to test and improve your balance. There will be geocaching, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing (weather dependent). You can jog or bike through a 5k course. Not a jogger? Not a problem. A guided walk along this route emphasizing all that you can do to stay active in the park all year long will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday,  Nov. 16, and at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19.
The full day of events actually go Nov. 16 from 10 a.m.-noon and Nov. 19 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Increase activity and fitness levels, and improve your mental and physical balance by spending time being active outdoors. Come down to Police Point Park for some free fall fitness. This event is sponsored by Family and Community Support Services and the City of Medicine Hat.
