Body of missing man found six months later near Leader

Redcliff RCMP wish to advise the public that the boater that was reported to have fallen in the South Saskatchewan River on November 6th, 2010 has been located, deceased. 

 The boater Douglas Bader, 67, from Cypress County went missing after falling out of a boat while fishing, approximately 68 km northeast of Medicine Hat.  An exhaustive search was conducted during that period but he was not located.   

On May 27th, 2011 RCMP in Saskatchewan were notified of a person floating in the river near Leader.  Police used a boat to recover the person and it was later confirmed to be that of Bader. 

The family of the Bader has been notified.
