A man from Saskatchewan was arrested for outstanding warrants as well as unlawful riding on a train.

On May 7, Redcliff RCMP were advised by CP Rail of an unlawful passenger riding on the exterior of one their west bound trains that was leaving Medicine Hat.
Redcliff RCMP had the train stop near Range Road 75 in Cypress County, AB. The male passenger, identified as Matthew Hooey, 32, of Moose Jaw, was arrested on four outstanding warrants and has been charged with two counts of breach of recognizance as well as a charge under the Railway Safety Act. Hooey was remanded in custody for May 8.
The RCMP would like to remind the public that riding on the outside of a train is both unlawful and extremely dangerous.
