Walsh grass fire contained by fire crews early Wednesday evening

The large Wednesday grass fire near Walsh has now been contained by fire crews as of 5:30 p.m.
 The flames are now isolated to some hay bales. Crews continue to work to extinguish some hot spots. All roads in the area are now open to motorists.

The RCMP and fire crews would like to thank the public for their patience while efforts were made to control the flames.
     The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Anyone with information in relation to this occurrence is asked to contact the Redcliff RCMP Detachment at (403) 548-2288, Cypress County Fire or Crimestoppers.
