RCMP are on the search for a missing person. On October 23 at 1 p.m. Gerald Shepherd (Sheppard) walked away from an extended care facility in Fort Macleod.

His walking aid was found at the Tourist Information Centre with a note asking it be returned to the facility. It is believed Gerald hitch-hiked to Lethbridge or to the Blood Reserve or possibly to be with family.

Gerald is 73 years old, Native, male, 5' 2" tall, with a slender build and short grey hair. He was last seen wearing a Green and Black Quaker State jacket with blue jeans and black hat.
