(CNW) In response to Friday's request from Labour Minister Lisa Raitt, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers agreed to suspend strike activity. The union's only condition was that the terms of its collective agreement would be reinstated.

The sixth annual Nutrition Innovation Awards recognized administrators of Chamberlain School in Grassy Lake for their commitment to improving the health of their school through helping educate students to make healthier eating choices. It was chosen as one of the five winners from over 30 schools that applied.

In response to a potential strike by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, the City of Brooks would like to inform residents and rate payers of alternatives available for receiving bills and submitting payments.

Grades 5 and 6 students from Hays School recently won the School at the Legislature Competition (SATL) and will soon take their Social Studies classroom to the provincial capital, to learn about government firsthand.
Sponsored by ACCESS Television and the Alberta government, Hays’ students made the trip May 23-28.
