The Alberta government is committing up to $34.2 million to help residents, small business owners, agricultural producers and municipalities recover uninsurable losses from flooding this summer. Announcement was made Sept. 12.

Motorcycle/tractor collision near Tilley

On September 11 at approximately 1:30 p.m., a collision occurred on Highway 875 at the intersection of Township road 16-2 involving a tractor and a motorcycle.

The Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Medicine Hat announced Sept. 8 Medicine Hat has been selected as one of the stops on the Portraits of Honour National Tour and that their members have begun planning a very special (event/gala dinner) in honour of its visit.
The Portraits of Honour National Tour is scheduled to arrive in town, via police escort on Sept. 22.

Rosebud vying to be Alberta’s ‘Cultureville’

The picturesque hamlet of Rosebud is one of only six Alberta communities in the final round of CBC’s Cultureville 2011. The competition, held as part of CBC's 75th Anniversary celebrations as well as Alberta Art Days, is an opportunity to vote for the province's most culturally cool community.
