Pincher Creek girl earns ‘Great Kids’ award

Dykota Letourneau is a “natural leader” in her Pincher Creek community.
She volunteers at the Pincher Creek and District Historical Society and is steadily involved with the Métis Nation youth group.
In recognition of her contributions, the 13-year-old was bestowed with a Great Kids Awards at the 12th annual event held at the Edmonton Fantasyland Hotel in October.

Border highlights at Coutts for September

There were 35,135 individuals who crossed the border at Coutts in the month of September.
That equalled to 16,712 cars and 12,888 commercial trucks.
There were 278 permanent resident applications processed, 143 work permits and 24 study permits issued; and 102 people were refused entry.

RCMP are on the search for a missing person. On October 23 at 1 p.m. Gerald Shepherd (Sheppard) walked away from an extended care facility in Fort Macleod.
