The Claresholm and District Museum will hold a Stones and Bones Archeology Day Aug. 18.
People of all ages are encouraged to bring in any Native artifacts they may have. There will be University of Calgary Archeologists on site along with Lindsay Amundsen-Meyer, a PhD candidate at the university, to look at the different artifacts and share their knowledge on the pieces.

Ramadan celebration on Sunday in Brooks

Fully embrace Ramadan traditions this season by sharing unique experiences with family and friends at the old Centennial Arena at the Lakeside Leisure Centre.
The public is invited to attend a celebration of Ramadan, from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday Aug. 19 in the Old Centennial Arena.

Alberta Health Minister Fred Horne is expecting officials with Alberta Health Services to apologize for the way the closure of the Little Bow Continuing Care Centre (LBCCC) in Carmangay has been handled.

When one hears the term “clipped” and it has to do with birds, the thoughts of a wing being clipped for research purposes come to mind.
