Canada Post update: no strike activity May 25-27

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) is required by law to give 72 hours' notice of a strike. Given the current date and the status of the negotiations, CUPW has confirmed there will be no strike activity on May 25, 26 or 27.

Medicine Hat Police investigate a suspicious death

An investigation continues into the suspicious death of Casey Donovan Armstrong, 48, which police believe took place up to 36 hours before authorities were notified at about 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Due to windy conditions and high wildfire risks, fire bans are now in place across the province on all land in Alberta. The fire bans are effective immediately, and until further notice.
