Accused kidnapper of B.C. boy apprehended

The Lethbridge Research Centre will get much needed renovations with a new strategic investment. Member of Parliament Jim Hillyer (Lethbridge), on behalf of Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz and the Minister of Public Works and Government Services Rona Ambrose, announced Sept. 12 an investment of almost $4 million for work to upgrade the facility's exterior walls that will reduce its heating and cooling costs.

RCMP training centre breaks ground at long last

Nanton museum celebrates 25th anniversary

Nanton’s Bomber Command Museum will celebrate its 25th anniversary by honouring the service of Alberta’s 408 Squadron and unveiling the museum’s progress with restoration of a rare Halifax Bomber.
The weekend celebration will get underway today, August 19, when members of the 408 Squadron land their Griffon helicopters at about 2 p.m., in the field beside the museum.

Semi/train collision near Lethbridge
