Health officials are hoping a pet visitation program in Oyen will be just as successful as the one in Brooks.

Oyen’s Sara Girletz is working hard to turn her passion for art into her sole career. Girletz, whose parents are Randy and Verla, grew up in Oyen graduating from the high school in 2007.

Officials with the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede are looking to remain relevant and using the input of teens to do so.

Planning for Oyen’s Centennial celebration has been underway for the past year and there will be no shortage of activities for locals and individuals returning to the community.

Thanks to the support of businesses and individuals, there are a lot of great prizes up for grabs at the finals for the winter barrel racing series held at the Crossroads Centre in Oyen.

Children being schooled in healthy living

School officials are teaming up with staff from Alberta Health Services with a goal of improving the health of school children through the Comprehensive School Health Approach.

Long-time Saskatchewan author Candace Savage is heartened to hear about the work being done in the South Saskatchewan River Basin by the South East Alberta Watershed Alliance (SEAWA).

A lot of the work done by the South East Alberta Watershed Alliance (SEAWA) in the past year focused on informing members of the public about the importance of the watershed and the work SEAWA is doing in relation to it.
