Frontier Days, the largest summer fair in Southwest Saskatchewan, has a lot of fun & entertainment for everyone.  We host one of the largest equine events in the province and the largest variety of events.

We are always pleased with the community support, growth and expansion of our shows.  Sponsorship is always greatly appreciated.  It is so rewarding to see the improvements on the grounds.  The great sponsors assist in the improvements and continued success of the events.  The events also allow contestants and individuals to show case their products of all types.

Thank you to our continued Sponsorships from Edge Realty – John Cave and Joel Cave, Harvard Western Financial Darrel Daschuk, Praireland- Shirley and Norm Christianson, C5 Ranches- Kelly & Janice Cornforth, Us Two C Ranch –Craig and Camille Reesor, RBC Financial Planning, Donna Reid, Salt Lake View Ranch, Donna Reid & Tom Graham. Cow Town, Pro Embroidery, Tawna Bugera, Ghost Securities, Tim Bugera, Elite Metal Builders, Greg Penner. The AQHA Ranch Horse Versatility show which is a WORLD SHOW QAULIFIER will run on the Sunday June 30th.  The ranch hands must complete each of the following events with their mount – Ranch Trail, Ranch Riding, Ranch Cutting, Working Ranch Horse and a Ranch Conformation class.   In total it is 5 events and judged by a certified AQHA Ranch Horse Versatility judge.

Other main events featured; two day show for the Saskatchewan Reined Cow Horse. It will run June 28th and June 29th.  Entries are becoming very large in this show and the association has a new class.   The new class consists of boxing and no fence work.  This will allow new contestants to come out and show.

Saskatchewan Cutting Horse Association show will run on Saturday June 29th and Sunday June 30th in the cutting arena. The cutting show is always a large draw in entries and brings a large spectator group as well.

The Summer Series Ranch horse competition will be hosted in the cutting arena Friday June 28th at 10:00 am.  This is always a great event with many of our favourite locals coming out to compete.  Come watch to see who comes out on top this year.

The Open & 4-H show brings the young and not so young to compete each year and is great to see the enthusiasm by all.  It will be on the Thursday June 27th in the cutting arena.

This year the Cow Horse clinician is Taylor Douglas.  Taylor is the “Open Champion” in the SRCHA Futurity in 2012.  Taylor is a young competitor and trainer from our very own Province.  Taylor and his wife Tegan reside at Yellow Grass, SK.  The clinic runs on the Wednesday June 26 and Thursday June 27.  Enter the clinic and enjoy two full days of cow horse learning. The clinic actually starts a day before the fair but with all the spectacular events we must start early to allow all the events in to the program.  It is great to have such a full schedule.

Remember herd health is important.  We ask as always that horse owners please have due diligence and ensure horses are healthy prior to hauling to the shows.  A healthy show makes a happy show.  We thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Thank you to all the volunteers, sponsors, contestants and attendees to our Fair!  You make it a success every YEAR!

Frontier Days has entertainment for everyone, farmers, ranchers and horse lovers and even our town folks. ” Come out and join the fun at Frontier Days. We hope to see you there.

Frontier Days runs on June 28 to July 1, 2012.  Admission is just $5.00 per person and children under 10 free.
