Great Sandhills Terminal employee makes decision to retire

Great Sandhills Terminal (GST) Board of Directors wishes to announce Jim Major has retired as a full time employee of GST.  


Major served as General Manager and later CEO from April 26, 2000 until May 2, 2012. He also served as Senior Management Advisor, and Advisor to the Board of Directors from May 2, until Jan. 2. Major has announced his retirement from GST effective Jan. 2 after exactly 40 years of service in the grain industry. 
“I am very confident in our current management team, staff and Board of Directors leading GST on to future success as I wind down my career.  It’s been a very rewarding and gratifying experience working with everyone - that I will never forget,” says Major. 
“The board of directors wishes to thank Jim for his many contributions to the success of the business during his term at GST,” says chair Wayne Hittel.  
Great Sandhills Terminal is a rural agri-business operating an independent inland grain terminal located on Highway 32, east of Leader, Sask.
