Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce realizes the importance of agriculture to the viability and the sustainability of local business.

The Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 4th Annual “Farmer Appreciation Night” on March 23 at the Living Sky Casino.
Reception is at 5:30 p.m. with supper at 6:30 p.m. and guest speaker Murad Al-Katib starting around 8 p.m.
Karla Wiens, the Chamber's CEO says that the three appreciation nights have been well attended in the past. The Chamber knows crop and livestock producers are critical to financial well being.
"We host an annual Farmer Appreciation Night to celebrate our agriculture community, much like we celebrate our business community at SCBEX in the fall," explains Wiens. "Our Agriculture community is so important to the economic success of Swift Current and surrounding areas, and we want to recognize and show our appreciation for producers, retailers, and service providers in this industry.  It is important to say thank you to our extremely hard working farmers and ranchers for all of their hard work and the food they provide."
Wiens says they are very fortunate to have Murad Al-Katib giving the keynote address this year.
"Murad is passionate about prairie agriculture and will bring a strong, inspiring message to our guests," says Wiens.
