The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority (FCAA) encourages people to read and understand their insurance policies this spring as the snow starts to melt and water levels start to rise in Saskatchewan.

Not all water damage is automatically covered through basic insurance packages. Some coverage, such as sewer backup might be offered as additional coverage, which means you pay more.
Talk to your insurance agent to discuss your needs.
