During the Saskatchewan Cutting Horse Association (SCHA) Show at Frontier Days Exhibition, July 1, the Dave Whittall Award was presented to Wayne Knapp.

This award is named after Dave Whittall, who had been a member of the British Columbia Cutting Horse Association.
Both the Canadian Cutting Horse Association and the Saskatchewan Cutting Horse Association provide this award with highest regard to the many volunteers within the organizations.
According to the association, Knapp exemplifies the perfect volunteer. Directors involved with putting on a show can tell you that when it comes to setting things up, he is right there to help. Before his knee injury he would help sort and move cattle, load and unload cattle trucks, assist with displaying banners, set-up and pack-up the clock, and whatever duty was asked of him.
Knapp continues to spend hours timing and announcing as well as raising and contributing purse money.
His continued support are invaluable to the organization and greatly appreciated.
