RCMP respond to fatal farm accident

An accident in Special Areas 2 has left a teenager deceased.

The largest investment in the Lethbridge’s history will help continue economic diversification and increase manufacturing, say Alberta’s premier, Lethbridge’s mayor, and the president of a large potato processing business.

A crop report released by Alberta Agriculture and Forestry on Aug. 23 shows Alberta’s south region to have seen rapid harvest progress in recent weeks with the dry and warm weather that the summer has brought to the province.

Buffalo to host farm safety day camp

The Buffalo and District, and Empress Bindloss Agricultural Societies, have joined forces to do some event planning, and bring several safety-orientated programs to the area.  The first of these is the Buffalo Farm Safety Day Camp, booked for Sunday, Oct. 15.

The Harvest for Hope fundraising initiative near Swift Current gathered another crop for Rock Solid Refuge, despite the very dry conditions in the area during the 2017 growing season.

Apart from life on the farm, a decade or more on the rigs and surviving a multitude of bruises, scrapes, bumps and breaks as a farm boy, fourth-generation producer, Patrick Perrault carries the torch of the family farm forward for future generations.
