Today, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture officially opened a new satellite office in Shaunavon, where producers can access crops, livestock, forage and farm business management information and advice.

Sask. crop report for June 21-27

Haying is underway in some areas of the province. Very little spring seeding took place this past week and the province remains at 82 per cent seeded. Thunderstorms in some areas resulted in varying amounts of precipitation over the last week.

Dr. Ron DePauw’s modesty keeps him from seeking limelight, however the accolades seem to continually be aimed in his direction.
His work with his SemiArid Prairie Agricultural Research Centre (SPARC) team has brought an impressive list of awards in his name which he added to June 20.

Farmers in Saskatchewan’s southwest are still feeling frustration with seeding.

Gull Lake
Viterra Inc. (TSX:VT)(ASX:VTA) announced the expansion of the Viterra Gull Lake terminal June 21, providing a significant increase to grain handling capacity.

The Semi-Arid Prairie Research Centre's Dr. Ron DePauw won a Gold medal from the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC). Gary Corbett, President of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) made the noon-hour presentation at a ceremony June 20.
